Family of Dikembe Mutombo issues statement following his death
The family of Dikembe Mutombo issued the following statement Thursday after the Basketball Hall of Famer and former Hawks player died of brain cancer Monday at the age of 58. According to the statement a private service for the family will be held with plans for a bigger memorial service in the future.
Former New York Knicks center Joakim Noah celebrated the life of Mutombo.
