The National Hurricane Center has increased the chances again for development of a system of low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico. A tropical or subtropical depression or storm could form during the early to middle part of next week,

Odds have increased again that a tropical storm could develop in the Gulf of Mexico. Forecasters said the system is likely to carry a lot of rainfall to Florida next week.

For much of the southern and central Florida Peninsula, a broad 4 to 8 inches of rain, with localized 12 inch totals, appears likely.
