Tesla had to kill the entry-level Model 3 as it was fitted with China-sourced batteries and wasn't eligible for an EV tax credit

Tesla’s 462,890 deliveries last quarter was in line with consensus forecasts but failed to match the 470,000 projected by some analysts.

Tesla stock (TSLA) lost 3.5% on Oct. 2 after the electric vehicle maker reported third-quarter deliveries of 462,890, up about 6% from a year earlier. This marks the first year-over-year growth in quarterly deliveries for 2024.
