It has become less likely there will be tropical development in the Gulf of Mexico during the next seven days, but no matter whether that happens or not, parts of Florida and the Gulf Coast could at least see heavy rainfall from this setup.

The tropics remain very active, including one system that could bring heavy tropical downpours to South Florida next week.

The NHC has reduced the chances of the Gulf of Mexico system developing. Little Texas impact expected from Hurricane Kirk or Tropical Storm Leslie.
