The rivalry between the 76ers and New York Knicks is one of the most storied in NBA history. And it may have gone up a notch after the Knicks acquired four-time All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns from the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday in a three-team blockbuster trade,

The Sixers made their splash with the big addition of Paul George to join Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey while the Knicks added Mikal Bridges early in the summer and now they've added a star big man in the form of Karl-Anthony Towns.

Jokes aside, George gave his honest opinion on the deal. He said the trade will give Jalen Brunson "more space" and allow the "offense to thrive" with KAT at center. George added that the Knicks are "on the rise" like the Sixers and "definitely made a splash with that pickup."

Paul George said that the 76ers' perimeter defense has stood out to him in training camp, touting the disruption their forwards cause.
