Spoilers ahead for the Season 24 premiere of Law & Order, called "Catch and Kill." Shaw and Riley found out about Brady replacing Dixon when Brady showed up at a crime scene, and Riley couldn't get through to their former lieutenant throughout the first half of the Season 24 premiere.

With Manheim’s exit, the door was open for a new lieutenant, whom fans met on Thursday’s premiere. When Tierney’s Brady showed up to Shaw and Riley’s crime scene, she was met with resistance partially because they expected Dixon to be there.

When Shaw asks her what happened to Dixon, she doesn’t know and turns the focus to the case. Riley tells her she needs to give them more than that, but, “No, because I don’t know,” she says and again turns to the case. And while the detectives may have the crime scene covered, since she’s already there, she’s not leaving.
