AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson defeated Kazuchika Okada on "AEW Dynamite" to hold on to his championship, but was jumped by the BCC after the match.

Bryan Danielson won the rubber match against Kazuchika Okada at AEW Dynamite Fifth Anniversary. Okada went for the Rainmaker, but Danielson countered with a backslide, catching Okada off guard and pinning him for three.

The stipulations attached to the match are so complicated, MJF has openly mocked AEW for it.

AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson will face AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada in a match where Danielson’s title is on the line for the entire 60-minute time limit, but Okada’s is only on the line for the first 20 minutes per Continental title rules.

AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson will be in action on the October 8 episode of AEW Dynamite. After Danielson beat Kazuchika Okada on the October 2 episode, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta ganged up on him.
