During the third round, soccer star Gareth Bale, while playing alongside Englishman Daniel Brown, who rose to prominence during this past year’s Open Championship at Royal Troon, found himself in quite a predicament. Bale played a nice pitch shot from just short of the green, which nestled a few feet beyond the hole.

For a round of 18 holes at the iconic course, for non-members, it costs about the same as your normal PGA Tour venue open to the public. Depending on the exchange rate, the peak green fee for 2024 is $408, in the high season from mid-April to mid-October. During the winter season, it falls to a low of £196 from November 1-March 31.
